Ana & Sam’s Vineyard Inspired Wedding
Ana and Sam had a beautiful vineyard inspired wedding. When they came to me it was very clear the direction they wanted to take with their wedding and I was 100% on board. Being a big wine lover and have the travel bug (bad!) myself I was all over this theme.
Having been around European vineyards, around Canada and the US and toured many, I’ve always been inspired with the beauty and elegance they hold.
(Ana & Sam took a minute to honour their little cutie that passed away during their engagement)
Best first look reaction I’ve ever seen. Sam, you’re a gem.
I’m not sure there’s such a thing as too many flower girls. Case in point.
Ana was a huge fan of all of the rich deep moody jewel tones so we took that and ran with it. We brought her ideas and inspiration to Stone House Creative and Lauren was able to bring together the most beautiful centrepieces, stair install, head table display, and a beautiful piece for above the head table as well (oh and the bouquets – LOOK at the bouquets!). She really was able to take the design and finesse it via florals.
And can we just stop for a minute and talk about Ana’s dress. She had a dress change later in the night for dancing, but this first dress was really perfect for her, for the theme, and for the time of year (I’ll mention the second dress was spot on for dancing! This first dress was just the perfect fit for the day through reception). It fit her beautifully and the elegant lace and embroidery details were perfect for the day and theme.
Hawthorn Estates was the perfect setting for their wedding. It was the right amount of rustic but not too country charm like. We could take the colours and ideas we had and really bring them to life there. It would’ve been a surprise if you would’ve walked out the door and found rolling hills and row upon row of grape vines growing.
Although it was late fall and it was a chilly day; once inside the venue it was warm and welcoming. We took advantage of the spaces’ warmth and added loads candlelight and richness through the colours we chose. Then Perfectly Perfectly did a great job with the linens bringing in a really nice almost wooden texture which accented perfectly with the cross back chairs the venue provided.
Ana wanted some customized cookies and High Tea Bakery made the most beautiful wine glass, grapes, and banner cookies for them. They also did a beautiful spread including a wonderful cake.
To add a little bit more to the vineyard theme Ana and Sam spent time cutting these corks and Jennifer Bianca Calligraphy made these beautiful escort cards to welcome the guests as they came in.
It wouldn’t be a vineyard inspired wedding without a charcuterie spread. Chew took on the challenge and made this massive 8 foot table into a cocktail hour food spread. Guess were nibbling on it throughout the night too. It smelled and looked delicious – and it was.
It wouldn’t be a Brazilian wedding if we didn’t have lots of amazing food. Urban Prairie Cuisine took on the challenge of bringing the Brazilian flavours into the dinner and we have to say they did it beautifully.
Although it was too overcast on the day for twilight photos that didn’t stop Ana and Sam for sneaking out to get a few photos. It was still a beautiful warm colour in the sky this time of day, despite not seeing the sun go down. These photos really capture that well. If you look closely you can see a little bit of snow falling as well. Romantic right?
Did you notice all the grapes mixed in the greenery, candles, and florals in the head table? Stone House Creative took the Vineyard theme serious and it was the perfect cherry on top to bring it all together.
I’m not sure why by Brazilians love slushy boozy drinks. Hey, what’s not to like I guess right?
Ana & Sam made wine to share with their guests as party favours.
See, I told you this second dress was perfect for dancing.
Of course after dinner there was lots of dancing and laughter to be had.
