We have had such a wonderful year! We’re so thankful for all of the amazing events and weddings we’ve gotten to be a part of and have been so blessed to be able to work with such wonderful clients, corporate and brides and grooms alike! We’re so thankful every time someone chooses us to do their event because we just love event planning, we love what we do! We’ve had a pretty big year and can’t wait to see how fabulous 2014 will be! We thought we’d take a little time and do a year in review to celebrate everything that’s happened for us at Amanda Douglas Events in 2013.

A few things that have happened this year:

– I, Amanda, had the honour of marrying two of my couples this year (Did you know I’m a marriage commissioner too?)

– Destination weddings to some gorgeous lakes here in Manitoba

– We started up our internship program and welcomed three great ladies to the team

– A new website!

– Our total rebrand from Lace and Lavender to Amanda Douglas Events

– Finally got a chance to get WPIC certified (Every time the course was running I had a wedding, go figure!)

– Our Pinterest became a major focus for us to provide inspiration and direction to our clients and we were rewarded with 765 and counting followers!

– Many many features on Style Me Pretty, Grey Likes Weddings, Ruffled, It’s Love, Love and Lavender to name a few (It’s like Christmas every time we get a new feature, it’s so excited to see our work shared!)

– We had a booth at The Wonderful Wedding Show and met tons of you lovely brides (and wedding parties!)

– We ran a giveaway to one lucky couple (today is the last day to enter!)

– I always love to learn so I’m currently taking Event Design from the WEI (Wedding and Event Institute) and am loving the course! So many useful things I can take to my clients

– Doing over 8 inspiration photo shoots (You can see many of them in our galleries or on our Facebook page)

– We met and partnered with some amazing vendors and developed our Preferred Vendor program

– In total we took on 17 weddings and were so thrilled to be a part of each and every one of them!
