We’re excited to share with you another vendor spotlight post and this time on Gabrielle Touchette Photography. We’ve been lucky enough to work with them on photo shoots and love Gabrielle’s style, and of course her crazy sweet personality. Here is our interview, and a little bit more about this talented lady.
Tell us a little about yourself.
After years of experimentation with various forms of photography and taking a year-long photography diploma program, I started Gabrielle Touchette Photography in 2008 focusing mostly on weddings and portrait photography. Early on, I was motivated to create dynamic and artistic story-telling images, and today my passion is still the same. Following people’s love story and capturing the key moments as well as the in-between moments is something that I can’t get enough of. Every couple is unique and it’s such a joy being present to capture that chemistry with the art of photography.
What do you love most about your job?
It’s no secret that people are most photogenic when they feel comfortable and at ease, so my purpose behind every photo session is to create an easy-going and effortless dynamic. Having that connection and comfortable flow is paramount to me, and capturing those images that reflect just that is an on-going motivation. I love allowing those natural moments to happen before my lens and complimenting them with the light and the natural elements that are in each scene.
What inspired you to star your business?
Although I’m inspired to create unique and dynamic images that stand out, I also value the importance of capturing classic photos that beautifully illustrates each story. I like playing with composition and artistic elements, but I’m also focused on catching every piece of the love story, from spontaneous moments to classic portraits. The work doesn’t end after the photo session either – spending time to edit and optimize each image in post-production is also just as much part of the digital artistic process, and I love being able to work on each image to produce the best possible outcome.
What sets your work apart?
Being a photographer allows me creative fulfillment all while connecting with great people and I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else! I’m very honoured to have been invited into so many amazing stories of love and I look forward to many more to come.
