We’re excited to share with you another vendor spotlight post and this time on Eventlight.ca. We’ve been lucky enough to work with them on photo shoots and have a few weddings and events this summer coming up! Here is our interview, and a little bit more about this talented guys.
What we love most about our job?
Anyone can turn a light on. At Eventlight.ca, we love to bring light to life. We love it because it takes creativity and knowledge, working as part of a team to craft the perfect wedding, regardless of venue, time or season.
After all, lighting is more than just being able to see the bride walk down the aisle. We have a passion for perfectly illuminating every sparkle in the bride’s eye and every tear rolling down her father’s cheek. We love to transform neutral spaces, accent unique places, and capture any ambience the couple could dream of with one of the widest selection of lighting tools in
Manitoba.
We also love working with photographers and videographers, venue coordinators and wedding planners. We become a team, ensuring your lighting is integrated seamlessly, highlighting all the memorable moments, and reflecting the inner glow of the happy couple.
We love being a part of these most important moments, and it’s an honour to bring your light—and day—to life.
What inspired us to start our company?
It was our passion for lighting, and a desire to see Manitoba events lit well, that led us to create EventLight.ca.
We are two friends who never thought we’d start a business together. Kyle was a med student and Cam was in banking. But Kyle found himself spending his free time not studying biology, but rather lighting concerts—and loving it! And while Cam was stuck behind a desk, he was more interested in helping Kyle and realizing that no Manitoba business seemed to truly care
about lighting the way we do. We took a risk launching EventLight.ca, and we’re so glad we did.
Now, every day, we are inspired by the couples we get to work with. Like Ray and Melanie, who wanted to immerse their wedding guests in a specific atmosphere from the moment they stepped into the reception. The main colour in their scheme was one most lights can’t recreate. But using the latest technology, we could classically fan their exact hue around the room, and we overheard guests say the entire effect “took their breath away.” It was rewarding to hear, and those compliments inspire both of us at EventLight.ca to give every couple a breathtaking experience of their own.
