2015 Year In Review
Wow, what a year we have had! Amanda Douglas Events has grown so much this year and we’ve be so blessed to work with so many amazing clients this year. We’re huge believers in taking a little time to look back and be thankful so we’ve done a 2015 year in review to reflect on all the wonderful things that have happened this year.
The hugest thanks to all our wonderful couples, event clients, and vendors for making it such a fantastic year for us.
I (Amanda) get so excited when couples bring ideas to us and we get to bring them to life. When a couples comes to us and says “Ok, so I found this barn, it’s for horses, but I want to do my wedding there, on the ranch” or “So I know it’s winter but how about an outdoor ceremony?”. It’s a total dream every day getting to bring together these fun, creative, and personal ideas with and for our clients.
I also had a lot of fun personally this year so here’s a bit of a mixed of a 2015 year in review. (Here’s our 2014 year in review too)
I did a headshot shoot with the ultra talented Victoria Ann Photography.
We went on an adventure to Peru in the spring.
One of our couples also hired us for one of their 30th birthday parties and then referred us to a friend to plan their 40th birthday party (below)
If I could have every event be a costume party I would! We got to plan the MWN Halloween Mixer (hosted by Dream Day Decor)
I planned a handful of photos shoots this year, one of which being this Fall on Martha’s Vineyard.
Every year, around our anniversary, we do a photo shoot. This year was in the new house.
One of the TV spots we did this year. This one for Global TV.
I turned thirty and got two cakes!
(A floral one; thanks Fache Floral Designs. And a real one, GF and all. Thanks Cake-ology!)
We finally got to take the trip I’ve been dreaming about for over 12 years; Bali. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some!
Messing around (aka testing the light of the photo booth) with Heather & Damon.
Pub wedding? On the lake? Oh, yes please!
What a year:
- 1 trip to Peru
- 1 trip to Bali
- Three lake weddings
- 33 weddings
- 4 other events
- 5 TV spots
- 2 speaking engagements
- 1 new house
- Turned 30
I wish you all an even better year then 2015 and only magical things in 2016!
