The upcoming release of the film The Great Gatsby has created a frenzy for 1920s themed weddings. Here’s our take on the art-deco-filled era. We loved soft edges and colours – like greys and light pinks – to add to the femininity of the decade.
We love these invites that mimic posters of the 1920s
This beautiful cake replicates the buildings of the era
Gold plates and menus add a touch of glam
The Ralph Connor House in Winnipeg, MB is the perfect location to host the event

We love the look of the finger wave…
Or maybe something a little softer with a headpiece
The men would look dashing in greys, browns and bowties

Soft coloured peonies and succulents would fill the bouquet
This beautiful bouquet would line long wooden tables…
…interspaced between these table lamp chandeliers
Beautifully sequinned drop-waist dresses for the bridesmaids…
…in light feminine colours
This beautiful dress brings the whole theme together
With art-deco inspired back – just beautiful!
Thanks for the mention Amanda, and I love your ideas! The dress with the art deco back is divine!
First off I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t
mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your mind prior to writing.
I have had a hard time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are generally wasted simply just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any ideas or hints? Cheers!
