My name is Brittany Mahood and I am a wedding and lifestyle photographer based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. I shoot a mixture of both digital and film which gives me clients a variety of both fine art and photojournalistic pieces. I really couldn’t see myself shooting any differently, as weddings are an art form and they deserve to be captured in such a way.
My absolute favourite thing about my job is delivering images after an engagement or wedding and seeing the couple light up. That hand written note or heart-email I receive after they’ve sat down together and seen the pictures is simply amazing, there’s no feeling like it.
My love language is gift giving, and I couldn’t think of a better platform to do that in. Meeting new people and documenting one of the most exciting times of their lives really is an honour, and I’m so privileged to have had so many clients who allow me that and trust me to document it.
I am so inspired by my couple’s personalities and relationships, no shoot is ever the same. This next season of my business is the most exciting, as the couples, the locations, the weddings, my website, they’re all new and bringing a few dreams of mine into fruition.
After much debate, I’ve decided to make Winnipeg my home for the next few years and can’t wait to see what’s ahead.
