Emily & Kurt’s Black, White and, Gold Ballroom Wedding

From the moment Emily and I started talking about her wedding her vision was very clear. She wanted a Jo Malone inspired wedding. A black, white, and gold ballroom wedding.  All things classic and elegant (with a touch of fun in there).

We got started on her wedding design and each step of the way we went back to Jo Malone’s beautiful advertising and marketing for inspiration.

Haven’t gone to St. Mary’s Academy it was important to Emily to try and incorporate the beautiful building and architecture. They were able to have their ceremony in the chapel and it couldn’t of been more intimate and personal.

There post ceremony getaway car was something to behold. It was lovely that Monique Pantel capture the moment and we can’t wait to see the video of the day as well!

After some family photos on the St. Mary’s Academy grounds they are off to the Fort Garry Hotel for their cocktail hour and reception.

Emily and Kurt wanted to give their guests a more interactive party style experience and the reception. They opted to not have the traditional tables and chairs and sit down dinner. Instead they had food stations that were staggered throughout the night and fun lounges, cocktail tables, and a few scattered tables to really encourage guest to integrate engage with one another and mingle.

Speeches were mixed in, disposable cameras were plentiful, and some fun games and playing cards – personalize of course – were spread around the room.

And the food stations wouldn’t be complete if there wasn’t an epic dessert table. Pop corn, candy, french macaroons, and chocolate seals on top of chocolate petite forte – yep, that’s right! A total sweet feast.

Stationery – especially with a black, white and, gold wedding – can be the grounding and connecting design element that ties it all together. Robin Egg Blue Design 100% got the vision and brought it to live in the invites, day of stationery, and all the fun signage throughout the day.

Later in the night when all the speeches and dinner and snack and was done the band picked up the pace, the bar was open, and ultra from dance floor time begin.
