Dez & Eric’s Intimate Wedding
Dez & Eric had a personal and intimate wedding at Qualico Family Centre. Having recently moved to California for work the planning started long distance (which is never an issue for us! Technology is our BFF).
We really got into it, got planning, and they decided, in the end, they wanted something a little smaller, a little more personal. It was a big shift at first – a lot of changes needed to be made – but I’m so happy that they were able to decide what they wanted early on and could make the changes to have the intimate wedding that was perfectly personalized for them.
They invited all their closest and dearest to their intimate wedding.
S’more “mix”; the perfect party favour! (not sure what we’re talking about? Mini marshmallows, cinnamon toast crunch and chocolate chips. Brilliant right?)
Dez is a big nature lover so ferns were a clear choice for these simple centrepieces.
Dez & Eric had a cocktail-style reception with food stations. Guests could mix and mingle and grab something to nibble on throughout the night.
Pro Tip: If you’re having a cocktail style reception make sure you have seated for 70% of your guest count. The idea, for a cocktail style reception, is that people move around and don’t stay put. But if you don’t give enough seating you’ll never get people on the dance floor later in the night – and guests will be grumpy. They’ll be too tired from standing all night.
The “formal” part of the night finished up with some dances and then it was officially time to party on.
A big thanks to all the vendors, family, and friends that helped bring together Dez & Eric’s intimate wedding:
