Ashley & Kevin’s Fall Wedding
Kevin and Ashley had a beautiful fall wedding. They had their ceremony at Leo Mol Sculpture Garden followed by a reception at the Qualico Family Centre.
It was a beautiful fall day, they couldn’t of asked for better weather. All of the leaves were still on the trees and everything was lush and beautiful. Assiniboine Park is particularly well planned out so there was many flowers in bloom and the summer foliage was slowly turning so there was an array of colours and textures making it whimsical and fresh.
We worked with Kevin and Ashley from almost the beginning of their planning process. They hired us for Full Planning and with these guys they needed a lot more support with logistics and how to, as well as budget, then they needed help with design and aesthetics.
They wanted to keep the feel and colours of the wedding simple and fresh and not do too much, or overdue, the decor on their day.
The couple (and wedding party) went around to a few locations and did photos in the forest and in a prairie meadow. You’d be surprised to know that all these photos actually took place inside Winnipeg. We have a lot of really wonderful hidden gems and locations.
When our couples want to go a little more simple on decor we definitely urge them to make sure that they get really beautiful bouquets.
We’re totally game for going minimalistic with decor, but there’s one thing you don’t want to miss out on – a really beautiful bouquet.
Lauren and her team from Stone House Creative really nailed it with Ashley’s bouquet. It’s wild, whimsical, and has just the right accents to really take on Ashley’s personality. The bridesmaids bouquets were beautiful collaboration and inspiration from Ashley’s larger more dynamic bouquet.
They stuck with simple centrepieces of cylinder vases, candles, and greenery around. They went with a beautiful rich linen to accent the colours that were already in the Qualico Family Centre.
After the ceremony we all headed down to Qualico Family Centre for the reception. The MC took over the evening and things progressed with dinner, speeches, and of course a dessert buffet and cake cutting.
The bride and groom had a beautiful cutting cake with some vibrant teal accents.
Ashley and Kevin were very keen on taking dance lessons so it was very cute watching them perform their choreographed dance for their first dance.
