Backyard Wedding – Shelby & Adam
Shelby & Adam had a backyard wedding on their country property. And when I say backyard we’re talking about acres of space to really spread out and enjoy the property.
We brought in a tent – clear top of course – and had a lot of fun designing with Shelby all of the warm spring-like colours.
She did a lot of DIYs as well and sprinkled them – and wooden elements – around the tent and property.
We all know you shouldn’t walk into a farmer’s field but when it’s your own field have at it!
Little tree starts as your favours make sense when you’re country folk.
Pro tip: Always pick something that makes personal sense to you. And when you’re having a backyard wedding surrounded by trees? Well yes, this makes a lot of sense.
The perfect wood stack – yes!!! – totally prepped and ready for all the wedding party photos.
We love that Shelby was game to have these warm blue linens from Planned Perfectly and deep blue glasses from Collective Rentals.
It can be tempting with a tent wedding to have all white in your decor (chairs & tables linens), but that can be SO much white (the tent, the linens, the sunlight making it all brighter; it’s a lot).
Pick something that’s fun, but different light tone is a better choice. This blue option was just utterly perfect and made all the florals look fresh and really played up on the garden feel and made it a little less like the standard backyard wedding and a bit more chic.
Baby’s first wedding cake!
