Brittany & JJ’s Stonewall Quarry Winter Wedding
Brittany & JJ has the most beautiful Stonewall Quarry winter wedding. The day before the wedding there was no snow on the ground but we got the most timely snow storm that left everything looking like a winter wonderland. It did make it a little trickier to get to their wedding but so 100% worth it.
All day long it kept snowing and snowing these big fluffy flakes and it made for the most beautiful moments – like this one – outside with their wedding party.
Let’s be real; it’s just not the same without bubbly.
We first “met” Brittany when she was in need of a new location for her wedding due to a venue fire. We had been working with venues all over Manitoba putting together a master list of all the locations available for the couples affected. We got to share this list with Brittany and she was able to book Stonewall Quarry which we were so happy about.
Months later she reached out to us again (with fingers crossed) hoping we were still available for Day of Coordination and we were so happy to tell her that we were.
With only a month and a half before her wedding, we needed to get working right away and we got straight to it. We scheduled our meetings, Brittany was very organized in sending us what we needed, and before we knew it we were at the rehearsal seeing it all come together.
Set on vintage glass platters Store Next Door did the most warm, welcoming, and delicious spread of desserts.
You may have never thought about it this way but cocktail hour can be the perfect time to surprise your guests with something special. This charcuterie spread was perfect for Brittany & JJ. It had the most amazing meats, cheeses, olives, preserves and, the beet chips – don’t get me started with the beet chips (All from Store Next Door).
After grabbing a drink guests were welcomed to take their seats in preparation for the ceremony. After the ceremony, they headed back into the gallery area – for cocktail hour – while we did a couple of quick adjustments in the room for the reception.
I’m not sure there are many better ways to end the night (or to take a break from dancing) than to eat some comfort food, and in this case hot dogs.
