Brittney & Taylor’s Hut K Wedding
Brittney & Taylor had a beautifully blended Hut K wedding with a reception at The Met (captured beautifully by Cynthia Bettencourt). It was this perfect mash-up of modern industrial meets 50s glam between the two spaces.
The day was overcast with a bit of off and on rain but that really didn’t put a damper on the day. With only the photos being outside it was easy enough to work around the scattered showers and clear top umbrella shots are cute so win win.
We worked with Brittney & Taylor through Month/Day of Coordination. They were organized from the beginning (always a treat for us!) and we easily flowed through all the details and pieces we needed to bring together. Before we knew it the wedding week was here and we were at the rehearsal.
Here are some of our favourite images from the day.
If you can plan it in try and have some time with your parents before everything really gets kicked off. Spend some time getting ready, giving gifts, and sharing how thankful you are to have them as your parents.
We couldn’t get enough of Brittney’s Hayley Paige dress. It was stunning and utterly perfect for her.
If you haven’t noticed already Stretch was a very important wedding party member. He was around as much as everyone else (as it should be when he’s one of your fav family members). Come dinner however he headed home for some R&R.
If you’re ever wondering if you should have a First Look the answer is yes. They’re the perfect time for the two of you to have a moment and to get out all those nerves. You have some time to enjoy each other, chat a bit, and catch up before walking down the aisle.
The “aisle moment” is great too but if you lean on the side of anxious the first look is for you.
The ceremony took place in Hut K. If you don’t know about this hidden gem it’s a funky furniture store with a gallery space in the back.
A mini cocktail hour happened after the ceremony with some warm soft pretzels and some sparkling water.
Sometimes the kiddos need a little help down the aisle and we don’t mind making sure they get there.
Aren’t these the most darling vow books?
See, I told you – the clear umbrella shots – so cute!
99 Red Balloons is a fav of the couples so it was only fitting to use it for their Grand Entrance (props were a must).
The shoe game, of course.
If you want to make everyone cry at your reception have a slide show of you and your dad playing during your Father Daughter Dance. Hands down, it will work.
A big thanks to all the vendors, family, and friends that helped bring together Brittney & Taylor’s wedding:
