Carly & Riley’s Spring Cielo’s Garden Wedding
Carly and Riley had a beautiful spring Cielo’s Garden Wedding. The day couldn’t have been more lovely and the weather more perfect for this special day.
We planned with them quite early on as both of them have very busy careers. Carly has beautiful refined, minimalistic taste so when it came to designing the wedding it was very clear what was gonna be included in what was not.
We don’t know about you but if you’re anything like us emotions get high when the anticipation rises and you’ve got a bit of wedding pressure on you. SO find a way to take that pressure off. In this case – as the couple – a first look. Get that ugly cry out and spend some one-on-one time together before getting into the business of the day.
Flowers were definitely a very important element of the wedding plans so that was something we started with early on.
Carly loves a little colour mixed with some soft pastels and beautiful greens.
In the middle of the planning, as things started to progress, she decided to add a little more colours which you’ll see in more orange and peach tones.
it has to be said; we are in love with the combinations that Stone House Creative brought in through the floral design.
Can we just pause for a second and take in this ceremony install? I mean, come on!!
I’m a big fan of having some signature linens, even when the venue has beautiful wooden tables. Signature linens (think head table, guest book, cake table, you get the idea) are just a beautiful way of completing a design. I also like to push our couples a little bit out of your comfort zone to pick something that they might not have thought of beforehand.
In this case a really beautiful linen from Planned Perfectly in this wonderful grey-blue shade. Something white, or even champagne, would have been OK but in this case, this beautiful linen really captured the overall feel of the garden-fresh vibe Carly and Riley were going for. It also looked beautiful in the space and complimented the bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly.
Sometimes a big cake isn’t quite right but something cute and sweet for cutting with different desserts around is a perfect fit. In this case, a really sweet cutting cake from Store Next Door was just right. And lots of candles to finish the look, and glow throughout the night, made this table really charming and complete.
This photo might seem a little out of place because no one seated anymore, they’re on the dance floor, but I just had to include it. It just shows off how wonderful candlelight is and was as the night progressed and the sun went down.
That magical hour as the candles take the spotlight and the sunsets is always one of my favourite times.
