It’s always an exciting time when we can expand our team and currently we’re looking for another Lead Planner. We’re looking for a new team member who loves events! Someone with a bold, vibrant, confident and, outgoing personality; someone who has experience with working events is an asset.
We’re looking for an individual who can work on their own in an event setting, is a great problem solver, and quick on their feet, who has a ton of energy and an aptitude for all things wedding and event related!
This is a paid position and will start with a training/trail period to see if you are a great fit for the job and the Amanda Douglas Events culture and team.
Our new Lead Planner will work weddings as needed; as we book events, we require a Lead Planner on dates when we take on two events. Hours will be anywhere from 12-50 hours per month seasonally.
The successful candidate will be the Lead Coordinator on event day. Responsibilities Include:
- Event decorating (things like decor, styling, and stationery)
- Wedding Management execution (you are running the show!)
- Consultation meetings with clients
- Trouble shooting on the wedding day
- Run rehearsals
- Manage an event day timeline
- Manager vendor relations throughout event day and ensure they are fulfilling their contracts
- Execute cues for wedding guests, wedding party, MCs and vendors
Requirements:
- Accepting of all love
- Be available evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift 50lb pounds (for event set ups)
- Skilled in Power Point, Excel and Word (and the Google equivalents)
- Exceptional spelling and grammar
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve on the spot
- Have a vibrant, confident, outgoing personality
- Have own transportation
- You must have event related experience
- Confidence under pressure
- Have smartphone/computer
