Kate & Adi’s Backyard Wedding (during covid)
Kate & Adi hired a couple of months before their wedding with the “We had planned a whole other wedding but with Covid we’re up in the air and need your help”.
We chatted about their idea to have a smaller backyard wedding at their riverfront property.
The question from them was “Can we even do this?!”
“Yes, yes you can, and I’m really excited to plan it!” And then I did.
Kate had great vision for her day. Was very decisive; which made the whole process (while covid restrictions continuing to change) so much simpler and more peaceful for them.
In the end we only had to make a few small changes to the original plan and and design.
They had a lovely western ceremony and lunch during the the day and Hindu ceremony at sunset and a yummy dinner (served by the couple) under bistro lights in the evening.
If you can have your fur baby a part of your wedding the answer is always yes. Have them there. Even just in the morning for photos or emotional support. You will never regret it.
The tent fit perfectly in the smaller upper yard and we worked with the slop of the yard in the design.
Pro tip: Adding bistro lights can be just the right amount of light to make a wonderful ambient bistro-style reception.
A big thanks to all the vendors that helped bring together Kate & Adi’s Backyard wedding:
