Bathing Suit(s)

This might go without saying but you would be surprised how many people wind up at the beach with nothing but a sand pale and a pair of flip flops. Ok, maybe not just that, but a bathing suit is something that you don’t want to forget to pack on a tropical honeymoon! Having at least two bathing suits is ideal as it will allow you to alternate day to day and you will never have to wear a wet bathing suit.

Shorts and T-Shirts

You will want to pack light weight outfits to wear while lounging around in your tropical destination. Cotton and linen are best. It is a good idea to choose which outfit will be your beach outfit and keep that away from the others so you have something sand and sunscreen free to change into.

While you may want to spend most of your time enjoying the beach, you still have to eat and since it’s your honeymoon a hot dog on the beach might not cut it. The trick here is to bring outfits that are versatile. A sun dress or skirt can easily be transformed from day on the beach to nice dinner out with the right accessories.

During a tropical honeymoon flip flops are definitely a must! It would also be a good idea to pack a pair of comfortable sandals that you will be able to walk around in without having your feet get sore. If you are the athletic type, don’t forget your runners but if working out is not in your honeymoon plans a nice pair of flats might be the more practical choice of footwear to pack. A pair of water shoes is also a good idea to bring for those romantic walks on the beach, or walking through rocky waters.
