“I worked with Amanda for 10 months to plan my wedding. I lived in Calgary, but got married in Winnipeg. We had a Skype interview – I immediately signed the contract. Next thing you know I gave her a weekend I was able to be in Winnipeg, and she booked a whole day looking at venues, flower, chairs, and various rentals. It was amazing. The next few weeks as we booked other vendors via Skype, she brought the whole wedding together. I can’t say enough great things about her! She aided in any wedding related meltdown, and is a true artist when it comes to weddings. I would do my wedding day 10000 times again; it was the best day of my life. I Could Step out of “Planning” and Enjoy Getting Married
“We worked with Amanda for day of coordination. Amanda herself was already scheduled for another couple’s wedding the same day as ours, so on the actual day we had one of her other coordinators and an assistant. The meetings we had with Amanda through the process were a blast! We knew what we wanted out of the day, and her advice and skills kept us on track. And how can you not have fun when there’s a visit from Ollie (Amanda’s dog) during your meeting?
The rehearsal and wedding both went off without a hitch. Amanda’s team was there to get us in gear when we needed it, and handle any issues. They even had a chance to bust out emergency boutonniere skills when my dad’s didn’t make it to the ceremony.
Bottom line: if you’re thinking of working with Amanda and her team, go for it! One of my bridesmaids commented post ceremony that I was incredibly relaxed while we were getting ready the morning of. I think working with Amanda Douglas Events was a big part of that, since I could step out of planning and enjoy getting married.”
