Romeo and Juliet Themed Birthday Party

We were so excited when Jennifer (Mom) hired us to help plan Olivia’s Romeo and Juliet Themed Birthday Party. With having parents in the film industry it was only natural that Olivia wanted to have something theatrical themed for her birthday party.

If you didn’t know we LOVE LOVE LOVE themed parties and weddings. If there’s every a chance for us to plan one (and dress up too) we’re all over it.

Olivia wanted a fun bright white, gold and, red cake and she sure got it! Jenna Rae Cakes took the inspiration photos and did an amazing job bringing it to life.

To get the party started a quick game of musical chairs was in order.

You can really over do it with decor at a kids party (or any party) but we kept it simple leaving lots of room for the girls to spread out their crafts and snacks on the tables. This was a really interactive party so we didn’t want to over do it in decor and make it harder for the activities.

All the girls came dressed up with the favourite dresses. We also did some mask making and decorating to add to the Romeo & Juliet theme.

While the masks were drying a ballroom lesson took place. The girls were given a demo from our fine instructors and then were paired off to practice their new skills.

After a little break (and a bit more snacking) it was time to fence! We had great pro teachers come in and teach the guests some basic moves and they all got to test out the gear and practice a few jabs too.
