We’re excited about sharing JP Media Works with you! We’ve had the pleasure of working with them a few times and are so happy with the videos they produce for our clients. Want to know a little bit more about them? Here’s a little interview we did and some videos for you!

Tell us a little bit about you
I’m a freelance filmmaker and visual artist born and raised in the Winnipeg prairies. I bought a camera so that I could start making my own films and sort of became a freelance artist by accident. People started asking me if I could shoot their music videos, weddings and short films for them, and low and behold here I am with a fun career path. Of course I love what I do, but when i’m not behind the camera I can be found in front of my tv, out with friends or losing money at blackjack tables.
What inspires you?
Inspiration catches me off guard alot of the time. I sometimes struggle to find new ideas at will, but the best ones often come to me when I’m just listening to music or taking a shower. When I’m in a pinch I like browsing through Computer Arts magazine, scrolling through Youtube Videos, or just taking a walk outside. I know that inspiration is everywhere I just need to be in the right headspace to allow myself to notice it.
What do you love the most about your job?

The thing I love most about my job (and freelancing in general) is the freedom I get. Whether it’s documentaries or wedding highlights, I often have complete creative control over the look and feel of the project. Then seeing the your work trigger a happy response in your clients, is obviously a huge perk as well. There’s alot to love about what I do.

What of yourself you bring into your work that sets you apart?
I always strive to do work that I’m proud of and I want it evoke the same reactions in my clients as it does my mom; Smiles, wide eyes and maybe a tear or two for good measure.
