We had the pleasure of working with Winnipeg Wedding Photography Collective on one of our resent photoshoots (of our booth and model from the It’s Love Bridal Showcase). They did such a beautiful job and we just had to share them with you! Here’s part 1 of our interview with the fab four that together create the Winnipeg Wedding Photography Collective.

What’s the best professional lesson you ever learned?
“Even when it rains, the show must go on, work hard, and delete the “maybe” pictures, As you will always be judged on your worst picture”.
What was the last thing that gave you warm fuzzies?
A little 5 day old girl, named Otilia, in a tutu dress. Such a unique name.
Who inspires you?
Hmm globally I’m inspired by Marta Urbanelis in Germany, shoots Canon and loves sparklers “Martaurbanelis.de”. Locally I’m inspired by Kal Barteski, who does great script work. And fictionally I’m inspired by Spider-man, he climbs walls, and shoots webs.
Describe your perfect day as a photographer.
The bride is on time??? The perfect day is anytime the sun is shinning, and 2 people say “yes”.
Describe your perfect day off.
Mountain biking the old railway tracks by Headingley, with a fully charged iPod.
Besides friends and family, what are three things you can’t live without?
Coffee, Music, and my Rolleiflex.
What are you watching, reading and listening to right now?
I just watched a great movie on time travel called Looper staring Bruce Willis. Book, a winnipeg author Andrew Davison’s The Gargoyle. Listening to Kurt Vile, his album Walkin’ on a pretty daze.
In Winnipeg, where do you like to eat, get coffee, shop?
Parlour coffee on Main is Wpgs best grinds. The best breakfasts are Seinriver cafe on Provencher. The best dinner is a Winnipeg Jets dog! It’s the size of my arm, with little perogie bites. Available at the MTS centre.
Looking back, what would you tell your 16 year old self?
Buy a house/real-estate as soon as possible.
What is your favourite getaway location? why?
Beaches!!!! Anywhere and any temp. I just think water has a certain energy to it. I love mexico, but wouldn’t turn down seeing the polar bears up north.
