Wedding Planner Photo Shoot Day
Stone House Creative put together this great Wedding Planner photo shoot day for us Planners to come and create our own tables and get a great portfolio piece too.
We pick out linens, centre pieces, decor details, the wedding dress, stationery and desserts – all the details you need to put together a shoot.
The idea was to not pre-plan but to let our creativity take over when we got there and saw what we had to pick from.
Now I don’t naturally love this. I love planning ahead but I know get out of your comfort zone right?
Lauren planned this shoot so well and we really loved how it all came together and what we came up with.
It was hard picking which direction we wanted to go but after throwing a few linens on the table and thinking it through we settled on gold.
I’ll be honest, we’ve never done a gold table before so it was fun getting to try something new.
So here’s the thing with a gold linen. It’s easy for this to go very wrong. A bright gold like this can be tacky really quick if not done right. We wanted to bring in enough dark tones to really balance things.
We wanted to go a little dark and moody but sorta bright at the same time. We loved getting to use these dark chairs and plates to really ground the design. But the touch of bright flowers – perfect.
Because a few of us Planners were using some of the same elements we sat for a while without flowers (Lauren did custom changes to the flowers for each of us) so we really got to see how this table just brightened up and completed with the centrepiece.
These orchid – they were the perfect shade. This shoot was done in the fall but we wanted to have a design that could carry over all through winter too. You could do this colour palette all fall, through winter, and if you’re brave on bright tones into spring too.
