Wumi & Gabriel’s Fall Wedding
Wumi & Gabriel had so many guests come from out of town and travelling from afar. Being from Nigeria they wanted to make sure to have as much of their culture and heritage in their wedding as possible. They told me Nigerian weddings are a unique experience and “Be ready Amanda we really celebrate!” which we were so excited for.
The plans and decor were a mix of their culture and design elements that were personal and important to them. One being Gabriel’s almost obsession with the kid’s table. He wanted the kids to have the best time and loved getting to pick all sorts of goodies for them. It was very cute. And it was clear that it worked well; the kids were very happy.
Gabriel’s sister wasn’t able to travel from Nigeria for the wedding but she did send along (with family) lots of greenery and decor for the wedding. It was so nice to have her there in spirit and in some pretty ways too.
Wumi had two dresses designed by a talented dress designer friend and they fit her so well and were perfect for each moment of the wedding day.
After the ceremony, the celebration really picked up with lots of laughter, delicious Nigerian food, lots of speeches and stories.
During the reception, the couple snuck out and dress #2 made its appearance.
And the dancing, oh the dancing. After dinner and speeches, it was all party, all night long.
A big thanks to all the vendors, family and, friends that helped bring together Wumi & Gabriel wedding:
